The Immanuel CRC Youth team spent a wonderful day experiencing God’s creation, from clearing overgrowth at a local mango and avocado farm to visiting another farm with animals. They wrapped up the afternoon cooling off in town with fresh smoothies and enjoying a swim back at camp.

We started out the day with breakfast and quickly headed out to a local farm. This farm was not what we expected, it was more like an orchard with mangos and avocados growing all around us! We cleaned up overgrowth around several trees, easing the work for Tim, the owner of the farm.

Then we had a yummy lunch provided by the great cooks from camp! We then drove to another farm to see a visual example of what an animal farm around here looks like. We got to see mixes of wild boars and domestic pigs, a cute dog, and chickens!

After this adventure, we headed to town for refreshments. The boys got big flavored lemonades, and the rest of us got to enjoy smoothies made by a kind woman, Lorelie. We headed back to camp, swam, paddle boarded, and snorkeled. We even got to experience seeing sharks! We enjoyed supper and headed to bed after a wonderful day seeing and experiencing God’s wonderful creation.
