Day Two Highlights

The Immanuel CRC Youth Impact Team spent a busy day connecting with the community, from visiting classrooms at Central Abaco Primary School to playing basketball with local high school students. They wrapped up the afternoon hosting a kids’ club at Kirk of the Pines filled with crafts, songs, and games. 

Today, we started the day by serving breakfast to students at Central Abaco Primary School. They all enjoyed their meals of grits and tuna salad. We enjoyed the hugs and visiting their classrooms, as well as getting a tour of the school.

Next, we went to the high school track and cleaned up all the garbage, cement and wires after years of hurricane recovery. We had several of the high school students join us and then played basketball with them. We were then blessed by a lunch from a local business.

Finally, we went to Kirk of the Pines and did a kids’ club. We did crafts, activities, and songs about having self-control, as they just finished up their lessons on the fruit of the Spirit. We are definitely worn out after today, but looking forward to another day tomorrow!
