3 Points to Ponder
- “Sometimes, we need to get off our well-worn path and find a dirt path to bring about a breakthrough. How are you being intentional about spending time on different paths to bring innovation to your path?”
- “If you look back and see no one following, you aren’t leading. You are just walking alone. Living a life of impact means inviting people on the path with you and spending time with them. Who is walking with you right now?”
- “Dirt paths are harder, as you get muddy and chances of falling are much greater. But, they typically lead to less-traveled places, with the potential for an amazing experience. What wins most of the time for you – the difficulty of the mud or the potential for an amazing experience?”

1 Story of Impact
In December 2017, Tommy Spaulding and I were walking a well-worn dirt path in Sylvain, Haiti. As the roosters crowed and the loaded-down donkeys passed us, we dreamed about what was possible to impact the world given our two backgrounds. Tommy is a two-time New York Times bestselling author and world-class speaker with contacts all over the United States. I’m an entrepreneur by heart with a strong desire to impact the world around me by inviting people on their unique adventures with their Heavenly Father. Two people with two very different backgrounds choose to walk a more difficult road together. The idea of the Many Hands Business Breakfast was born from that walk. Last weekend, we held our third annual Many Hands Business Breakfast for over 250 people and I can’t understate how deeply moving it was for those who attended. I have no doubt lives have been deeply impacted by these events, with ripples into each person’s circles of influence. I know my life has as we moved from this
to this.
Right now, where do you need to walk a humble road with someone of a different background for a breakthrough to happen? As a person of impact, where do you need to meet someone on their path that looks different than yours? Where do you need to invite someone to walk on your path with you? True impact only happens when others are on the journey with you. I love Tommy Spaulding and how he chose to walk this very different path with me. And the world is better for it.
