3 Points to Ponder
- The power of one decision has far-reaching consequences. And rarely do we know it at the moment. Where in your life do you need to make a decision today for a better future tomorrow?
- Sometimes, we can’t see the whole picture, but we need to trust God’s plans, leading to unexpected blessings. In what areas do you need to trust a bit more?
- Everyone has a unique purpose in life. Knowing that purpose can help you stay true in the low seasons of life. Do you know your purpose? Do you need to do some work to remind yourself of your purpose?

1 Story of Impact
On October 1, 2024, I found myself standing in the same spot of one of the greatest hurts in my life. Ten years earlier to the day, I was forced to leave this community in Haiti because of lies, betrayal, and manipulation. (Read about that day here.) At the time, I had no idea how we were going to rebuild, but I had faith that God would make it happen. During that season, I felt God saying to us, “My hand is still protecting you. Let go of what you know and let me show you something better.” And He did. As I stood at the main intersection last month, it hit me. What hung in the balance at that moment? Without our Yes to come back to this region, despite the fears and threats, we don’t help tens of thousands of Haitians with homes, pregnancy, schooling, and agriculture. We don’t marry 200+ couples. We don’t expand to another country and help transform the lives of hurting people. We don’t send thousands of people on Impact Trips, creating a new and better path for so many on their journey. Our God is beyond faithful, even amid hardship. Right now, some of you have no idea what hangs in the balance of your current decisions. Do not let the darkness win. Love tough even when it is tough to love. I pray that each of you gets a moment like I had, 10 years down the road, when God resoundingly shows His faithfulness. Even when it is difficult to see the next step, bathe it in prayer, trust the One who created you, and move forward little by little. Your impact matters in the world. And so do you.
