1 Story of Impact
Yesterday, tragedy struck Central Iowa, as two students were shot and killed at the alternative high school, Starts Right Here. In addition, the founder and my friend, Will Keeps, was shot and critically injured attempting to escort the shooter out of the building.
In November, during our Week of Impact, we performed a Love in Action Concert at Will’s school, showcasing world-class musician Eric Genuis and his team. Before the concert, there was a fantastic exchange between Will and Eric, as both were describing their work with troubled people groups. Watch this two-minute clip. Brokenness exists in this world. Who needs to hear your voice of hope over and over again? Who do you need to shine a light on, because they are standing in the darkness with no way out? Who do you need to use your voice to advocate for, someone the world has forgotten about? Will has lived these last few years as a man of love in action. His world is hard, as he deals with extremely difficult situations, showing a path for a better life for these young adults.
