Are you living out a faith that moves mountains? Join Ben Segebart, a member of the Freedom Fellowship (Indianola) IMPACT team, as he reflects on the powerful message from a youth group in Abaco: “Live it out and invite others in.” This is a direct call to action to embrace a transformational faith and share it with the world!

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

Tonight our team visited a Wednesday night youth group in Marsh Harbor, Abaco. We went back to the church we attended on Sunday; however, tonight was their youth night. A young woman gave a great message on the power of the Gospel. She had several good points in her devotion but the simple and profound point that stuck out to me most was, “Live it out and invite others in.”

As the young woman quoted Matthew 28 she smiled and said, “it’s pretty cool to have a group of missionaries here tonight.” Her message was calling the students to action in their Christian faith. Not a dead faith, that does nothing. Or a hidden faith that’s ashamed of their Savior. No, she was calling on the students (and us) to live out a transformational faith! A faith that demands action. A faith that compels others to come. A faith that we just can’t keep to ourselves.

Two thousand years ago, on a quiet hillside in the region of the Galilee, Jesus looked at a crowd of over 500 people. They came from all over. The word was out that He had risen from the dead, and many were curious if it was true. Jesus looked at that diverse, bewildered crowd and gave them a curious mandate, ‘make disciples.’ Today, I’m still figuring out the profound depth of His statement on that old hillside, “make disciples.”

We’re meeting many people and experiencing many things on our IMPACT trip with Many Hands. It is very enlightening to leave the country you’re familiar with and go somewhere unfamiliar. We’re learning a lot about this island chain and the beautiful people here. The question on my mind tonight is, what type of faith am I living out in my daily life? Does it rightly reflect the amazing gift I have in the Gospel? Am I really inviting people into a wonderful, life changing, world shaking relationship with Jesus? Or have I been inviting them into something less? Have I been inviting at all?

Here is my prayer for the rest of this trip and once we return home: God help us to live out the abundant life You have called us to as we follow You. And help us invite people into a faith that moves mountains. All things to Your glorious name.
