Christian Heiden is from Hartford, CT, who came to Haiti to complete his final project for the Eagle Scouts, with his family.

The greenhouse is built and the systems are up and running!

Hydroponic Greenhouse

We would like to thank the MH4H staff for their incredible work to make this build a possibility. We are confident that the greenhouse will be well cared for, and are hopeful that in several weeks they will have fresh tomatoes and peppers. We are also attempting to grow more seedlings for more diverse and nutrient rich produce. We know a certain American staff member is craving cucumbers and we will do our best to get her those.

If this greenhouse works as we believe it will, we are confident MH4H will use their model to make the best results possible. We are hopeful that it will aid in the continued pursuit of sustainability in Pignon, and perhaps even throughout Haiti.
