The Fresno team stayed busy painting classrooms and organizing a library, then rounded out the day with some wonderful worship.

Day two. Lots of physical labor, lots of great connections and conversations. We all seemed to wake up energetic and ready to work. We split up, most of the team went to help prime and paint a preschool. Three of us -Seth, Psalm and myself- left with Lisa (Lead – Education & Early Childhood Development) and went to CAPS, the major primary school on the island. We helped organize the school library, which Lisa will be using as her classroom next school year. As we went through and boxed up old student files, books and worksheets, we had the privilege of seeing and interacting with the precious and lively students as they navigated their school’s outdoor halls.
A few hours later, we joined the rest of the team at the preschool and ate lunch together in the church that is connected to it. Those of us who came from CAPS switched out with a few painters. We then got to work painting bright colors over the primer in the classrooms while they left to continue sorting in the library. Many of the rooms are now almost finished. We will get done with them Saturday. Due to a mixup in bags, the keys to the van were locked inside the van on accident, but we made the most of it. It turned out to be a blessing because while we were waiting for assistance, we got to hear more from Pastor Shawn and his lovely wife, Miss Jackie.
Once we returned to Camp, we ended the day by swimming, eating an amazing dinner, singing praises to Our God, then doing two devotionals. The evening fellowship was wonderful and what I would consider the most pivotal point in our day. It was our chance to wrap up the most beautiful, challenging, and heart altering moments from the previous twelve hours. God is so good.
