Last week, I wrote about going the extra mile. It might seem weird to follow it up with leaning into enough. But, I want us to wrestle with motivation. God speaks to me through music. He always has and I believe He always will. “Jireh” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City is the song of choice right now. Listen to these lyrics:

And that is enough.
In this past season, especially coming out of COVID, I’ve seen people jump into a deeper belief in the power of “more”. More politics, more binge-watching, more alcohol, more gambling, more drugs, more sex, more eating, more consuming, more work, and more “my way or the highway” thinking. Instead of slowing us down, COVID shutdowns hyper-accelerated the extremes, but now with fewer boundaries. Do you feel enough, leading from a place of knowing who you are, whose you are, and loved? This week, I want us to take a deep reflection into where you are leading from and who you are following. Why? What is the motivation? Set your boundaries in life, as you will never be enough for the world. At the end of the day, does that matter? For me, one source of life exists, who has already done everything for me. I need to exercise faith in order to accept His grace to cover my shortcomings. Then I can lead from a place of love, uniquely created by the very Maker of heaven and earth. That is enough for me.
