The Skutt (Omaha, NE) IMPACT team experienced a day brimming with island culture. “Cultural Experience Day” saw them exploring local flavors at the Farmer’s Market, marveling at the beauty of Winding Bay, and sharing their energy with youth at the “Rise Up” volleyball camp. Ellie, Mia, and Addie have captured the spirit of their adventures in a unique, song-style recap, offering a glimpse into the team’s vibrant day.

Culture Day: Song Edition

We wake up; it’s sunny and it’s Thursday.

Looks like a really really fun day.

Hop in the van, we go to the Farmer’s Market.

Got some jams, donuts, and icees.

Then we took a little detour

Went to this little Bahamas shop (Salty Island Shop)– we got a ton of goodies

Then we went to Winding Bay

Prettiest beach you’ll ever see, we must say, and we love God’s creation!

Found some conch shells as we snorkeled,

Then we got some gyros from Petes Pub

They were so delicious!!

We hopped in the van, running late gotta get to “Rise Up” volleyball camp.

Interacted with the kids and helped them learn skills.

Afterwards, we had a talk about improvements for tomorrow.

Then we returned to Camp Abaco for some good pork chops and to thank the Lord

With some s’mores under the beautiful full moon.

We love God, we love IMPACT, and we love each other!

Goodnight.
