Wednesday was packed with adventure for the Third Church Impact team! They spent the day at Driftwood Farms, diving into gardening and discovering unique fruits and vegetables. A special treat of homemade Bahamian ice cream followed, and the evening was topped off with an energetic gathering with G2, the youth group at Kirk of the Pines, where they heard a message about deepening their relationship with God. Today was a beautiful day, a day of many amazing opportunities. We did a lot of gardening work for Tracy Kelly at Driftwood Farms. We picked lots of fruits and vegetables, some we have had before, and some new ones we’d never had or heard of before.
After the farm we got a special treat, homemade ice cream from a local vendor made with Bahamian fruits grown right here on Abaco. Then we had a little time back at camp to enjoy the sun and water (some of us maybe too much). I think we’re using as much after-sun lotion as we are using sunscreen… oops! There was snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and other exciting adventures.
Finishing our day’s activities, we went to Kirk of the Pines and joined their youth group. It was busy and exciting! We heard a message about getting past the ordinary and pursuing a deeper relationship with God as we delight in His wonder and majesty.
To end the night, we had a great conversation of places we saw God’s beauty today; in the gorgeous sunrise, the water and beach, the way that agriculture is done so uniquely here, and in the lives of all the kids and leaders at youth group.
