The Way IMPACT team members Kelli, Michele, and Natalie share reflections from Day 3 of their Abaco trip with Many Hands! From breathtaking sunrises and moments of peaceful devotion, to a time of fun and games under the stars, experience the beauty and joy of their day.
Another Super sunrise listening to soothing, gentle waves hitting the shore while sitting on the beach, taking time for devotion, and walking on the sandy and rocky surface. We are thanking God for His beauty and creation; Abaco is a beautiful, joyful country that still has the scars from Hurricane Dorian in 2019. Our devotions this morning focused on Peace & Joy. Today was a Super day to feel peace & joy. Attending a Super worship at Kirk of the Pines and being reminded that prayer needs to start with praising God for who HE is, for the beauty and enormity of the world HE created, In Psalms 95:1-2, “Come let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” Praise Him for everything and especially, for who we are.
The day ended at Driftwood Farms where 60 plus people– including the Impact team and members from the community– gathered to have super fun playing volleyball, ax throwing, eating, and conversation.
We then watched the football game outside under the stars enjoying the Super weather. Whether your team won or lost, you will always win with the peace and joy of Jesus.
Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
