The Way IMPACT team split their day between supporting students at CAPS and advancing the rebuild of Zhivargo’s home.
The Impact team divided into two groups today. The first group spent their morning at the local elementary school cleaning bookshelves and organizing books for the teachers. The afternoon began with the children memorizing 1 Peter 2:17, followed by a teacher-led discussion about respect. The volunteers then worked with small groups of students to create a story based on “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do You See?” The school volunteers found their time with the kids to be very rewarding.
Our group went to work on the house being rebuilt for Zhivargo. I spent my time sanding yesterday’s mud that had been applied to the sheet rock walls. It was hot in the home with little ventilation! Barb spent her day painting the exterior of the home a BRIGHT lime-green with much of her time on top of an extension ladder. Barb thought the work was fun.

Our work on Zhivargo’s home brought him great joy which spilled over into our hearts as well. It was incredible to witness the progress done in a few days with Many Hands. It has been a blessing getting to know and work with the members of our team and other mission groups in Abaco! God is good!
