Greetings to all of you in the name of the Holy Spirit –
I am so glad to be back in Iowa to see all of you who love Haiti and pray for Many Hands for Haiti. I look forward to seeing and talking to many of you at the conference this Saturday (October 26) at Third Reformed’s auditorium in Pella and over the course of the next two weeks that I am here.
I left Port au Prince on Tuesday (October 22) afternoon and arrived in Miami late that afternoon. Some delays and going through customs caused me to miss my flight, so I spent the night in Texas. God provided for me, as I knew a friend in Texas who picked me up and took me to his house to spend the night. On Wednesday morning, I went back to the airport and flew into Des Moines. I look forward to the next two weeks spent in Iowa.
I speak the truth regarding all you have done for us in Haiti. Your support and prayers make a huge difference in our daily lives. Without you, Pella Christian in Pignon, Thrive for 5, BOOST, the hospital program, and so much more would not be possible. My family and I are so thankful for all that God is doing for us and our community through MH4H. Through these programs, we see the light of our mighty God. In scripture, God tells us to help the poor and needy. We follow those instructions by helping the people who really are in need, and we do all this for the Lord, Christ Jesus.
On behalf of my staff from Pignon and Savanette and the board here in Pella, thank you for all the time, money, prayers, and advice you give to help Haitians live a better life and to improve the future for the next generation. Joshua 1:9b says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” We know that God is with us in Haiti, giving us strength and courage to make Him real in this broken world. Please continue to join hands with us to help make Haiti a better place and a country that glorifies God. Thank you for your help with all of the programs in Haiti. We are so grateful for all that you do and give.
